Analyst, Solar Project Development

Role Description
- Primary responsibilities will be to perform preliminary site and opportunity assessment for the Solar Project Development team
- Determine solar project feasibility by performing preliminary system design, equipment specification, due diligence, and analysis of the availability and applicability of state and federal incentives
- Perform project fatal flaw analysis based on existing electrical infrastructure
- Perform utility electric rate analyses to evaluate potential electric tariff changes and quantify savings for numerous utility service territories
- Submit and manage incentive application process for utility programs
- Provide support for competitive response efforts
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- 1-2 years renewable energy experience required, preferably in the solar PV industry
- Understanding of federal and state policy that drives the solar industry required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel required; experience with PVWATTS and OnGrid preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills required
- Must be able to work independently
- Some travel required
