Analyst, Solar Project Development

Role Description

  • Primary responsibilities will be to perform preliminary site and opportunity assessment for the Solar Project Development team
  • Determine solar project feasibility by performing preliminary system design, equipment specification, due diligence, and analysis of the availability and applicability of state and federal incentives
  • Perform project fatal flaw analysis based on existing electrical infrastructure
  • Perform utility electric rate analyses to evaluate potential electric tariff changes and quantify savings for numerous utility service territories
  • Submit and manage incentive application process for utility programs
  • Provide support for competitive response efforts

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years renewable energy experience required, preferably in the solar PV industry
  • Understanding of federal and state policy that drives the solar industry required
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel required; experience with PVWATTS and OnGrid preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Some travel required
